Unit 6
When practicing the Universal Loving-Kindness exercise I could really feel my heart opening up as if my soul was becoming more humble. Practicing this exercise made me realize even more how important it is for our health to be able to love someone else. Not only should we just love someone else, but really be able to give back and help someone else whenever needed. Being able to pray for others and yourself in the same prayer is always relaxing and healing to me. This exercise tells me that to maintain peace of mind and over all health then I have to be relieve anger and hatred all the time. This picture I have posted reminded me of the most calming, relaxing time I thought I may ever experience which was on my honeymoon. Water is such a soothing thing to watch. I think this exercise is very beneficial and should be used in everyday meditating.

Spiritual, Mental, Physical wellness
Discuss the connection of the spiritual wellness to mental and physical wellness. Explain how the connection is manifested in your personal life.
The connection of all three of these forms of wellnes are fairly simple. To me you defifintly need each one of them to have full health and wellness. Spiritual wellness connects with mental wellness because there both triggered by the mind and beliefs. In mental wellness this is where the mind needs to be healthy in be able to think, understand and react to certai things in life. If a person physical wellness is lacking I think that mentally they will be lacking wellness as well. There mind will constantly thinl negative of there selves, and this will cause them to lack in there spiritual beliefs or there faith. This has connected to my life because when I was over weight I had a much harder time dealing with my faith, believing that I would ever loose the weight, regain my health, or my self-esteem. My mental wellness was very poor as well. Once I began going back to chruch connecting back with my beliefs, my mental well being became more healthy and so did I.

Loving Kindness
Describe your experience. (Did you find it beneficial? Difficult?) Why or Why not? Would you recommend this to others? Why or Why not?
I listened to the loving kindness on the cd after I read it first in a long bath trying to relax myself before listening to the exercise any participating in the practice. I found this practice to be very calming and relaxing. The women voice that was speaking helped with the relaxation as well. I performed this practice with my husband the first day and then the second day on mt own. I really think that this is something that I will be able to do atleast once a week. I thought it was very beneficial to the mind. I will recommend this practice to everyone I know because it helps you get your mind focused on the number one thing you learn growing up. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.

My physical Well-Being
Well after the reading and understanding in more depth from this class I have had to re-evaluate my train of thinking and how I see my whole well-being. The question states on a scale of 1 to 10 how do I rate myself in the areas of the human well-being. As far as my physical well-being I rate myself a 8 being that I have recently lost a total of 46 pounds, I am overall healthy and have known health issues at this point in my life. On the note of spiritual well-being I rate myself a 5. There are many things that I need to get under control in my soul and my thoughts to be fully whole in my spirituality. My psychological well-being is pretty much healthy in the fact that I love the serenity prayer, and try my hardest to live by it everyday. I rate myself a 7.5. There are many things that I know spiritually, psychological, and physical that I need to work on in my life, and every day I am trying to get better at that.
